Sales Director – Microsoft Business Applications | Financial Services
Up to £150k plus OTE
This is a senior sales leadership role for someone who knows how to originate, shape, and close complex transformation deals within Financial Services.
We’re looking for a commercially driven leader to own revenue growth for Microsoft Business Applications, data, and cloud solutions across Financial Services. You’ll be accountable for building pipeline, converting strategic opportunities, and closing large, multi-£m transformation programmes with banks, insurers, and asset managers.
Operating at C-suite level (CIO, COO, CDO), you’ll translate regulatory, operational, and customer-centric challenges into compelling Microsoft-led transformation journeys. Working closely with Microsoft, delivery teams, and alliance partners, you’ll shape go-to-market strategy, lead flagship bids, and position the business as a trusted advisor in an increasingly AI-driven and data-led market.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Owning Financial Services sales targets and driving end-to-end deal execution
-
Building and qualifying a strong pipeline across Tier 1 banks, insurers, and asset/wealth managers
-
Leading complex bids and enterprise-scale sales cycles
-
Developing Financial Services-focused propositions aligned to regulatory change, digital modernisation, and customer transformation
-
Building deep C-suite relationships across FS clients
-
Leading, coaching, and scaling high-performing sales and pre-sales teams
-
Acting as a visible thought leader in Microsoft-enabled transformation, including AI, automation, and data innovation
What you’ll bring:
-
Proven track record of originating and closing multi-£m deals within Financial Services
-
Strong understanding of regulatory drivers (e.g. compliance, operational resilience, consumer duty)
-
Experience selling Microsoft Business Applications, Azure, Data, or Power Platform solutions
-
Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and long enterprise sales cycles
-
Experience shaping large-scale digital and organisational transformation programmes
-
Strong leadership capability with experience building and scaling high-performing teams
This role suits someone who blends hunter mentality with strategic depth – comfortable opening doors, influencing senior stakeholders, and closing high-value, complex transformation programmes in highly regulated environments.
If you’ve built revenue in Financial Services, led Microsoft-centric sales motions, and want to shape the next wave of AI-led transformation, let’s talk.
